IV Plaque Therapy (Phosphatidylcholine)
Plaque IV Therapy has been in use for the past 70 years in about one-fourth of the world’s countries. It was originally developed to dissolve fatty embolus during and after trauma surgery. It is also used to treat liver and kidney disease.
In the 1990s, the use shifted to treating plaque deposits. The treatment was mostly done in combination with EDTA chelation infusions. Since then, results have been so dramatic, that it has become a treatment in its own right.
Not only is the IV Plaque Therapy used to remove fatty and hardened plaque from blood vessels, but it is also applied for general anti-aging purposes. By observing their patients, many doctors discovered that the patients started looking younger and healthier after they have had about 20 treatments. It has applications in liver and kidney disease, protecting the stomach lining from NSAID damage, and in Psoriasis patients.
Plaque Therapy is used in the case of soft plaques in the arteries. It also decreases the damage to the walls of the arteries caused by lipid peroxidation (Which gradually happens as we age) and thus, helps to prevent further damage as well. It may also improve the flexibility of aging blood vessels by improving the elasticity, shape, and function of the cells in the arterial walls.
It alsoreduces LDL Cholesterol and Triglycerides levels while it increases HDL Cholesterol levels. It is becoming very evident that elevated LDL cholesterol is NOT the cause of heart disease. In fact, studies involving statins show that lowering LDL cholesterol does not influence the rate of heart attacks. Fast CT exams show Calcium deposits in coronary blood vessels and the rate of increase of the Calcium score over time is more predictive of future heart attacks that LDL levels that show no correlation whatsoever. But it is hypothesized that the body uses Cholesterol as a “Band-Aid” to patch up damaged endothelial cells, but it is not the primary cause of the damage and the plaque. Since plaque deposits contain some cholesterol, removing it will reduce the size of the plaque.
By removing soft plaques and increasing the flexibility of arteries, it improves circulation to all organs of the body, and thus, may prevent heart attacks, angina, strokes, diabetic complications, etc.
IV Plaque treatment is a 90-minute Intravenous infusion of Phosphatidylcholine in a bag of 5% Dextrose solution. You will typically require 20-30 sessions, depending on the severity of your condition. The frequency of treatments is usually 1-2 times per week. After satisfactory progress is achieved, you may taper to a maintenance dose to keep circulation clear.
