What is Prolozone Therapy?
Prolozone is a technique developed in the 1990s that involves the injection of a liquid solution comprised of Procaine, vitamins, minerals, and anti-inflammatory medication into painful areas of the body. The area is then injected with Ozone. This technique can be used to treat the pain of any kind. In most cases, it will result in the cure of the disorder that caused the pain in the first place-localized decreased tissue oxygen utilization.
Notice that chronic pain only occurs in areas of the body that contains ligaments, cartilage or articular surfaces. These areas are vulnerable to the effects of decreased oxygen utilization. When these areas become traumatized, a significant amount of edema and inflammation only serve to further decrease circulation, hence, increasing pain. Ozone therapy (Prolozone) will improve oxygen utilization, and as the tissue affected heals, the circulation to that area is re-established.
What can you expect from Prolozone?
The first thing that most patients notice after a Prolozone treatment is an almost immediate 50-80% decrease in pain. A 2009 article published in the European Journal of Pharmacology demonstrated that a single subcutaneous injection of ozone prevents allodynia (pain due to a stimulus that does not normally provoke pain) and decreases the over-expression of pro-inflammatory caspases in the orbito-frontal cortex of neuropathic mice, immediately eliminating any signs of pain.
Next, chronic areas of degeneration such as osteoarthritic knees, hips, shoulders and ankles will regenerate.
Although more research is needed to fully document this effect, some physicians have already taken pre and post-treatment x-rays that have shown an increase in cartilage thickness in knees treated with Prolozone. And fortunately, other than a rarely occurring and temporary increase in pain in the area injected, no significant side effects from Prolozone have ever been demonstrated. Other than the possibility of an allergy to one of the liquid components, there are no contraindications to its use.
Prolozone therapy uses ozone to stimulate growth factors in the tissue surrounding a damaged joint. Prolozone therapy stimulates new growth at a cellular level.
This enhances, or jumpstarts, your body’s natural ability to heal itself and replace damaged tissue with new, healthier tissue. When you have healthy connective tissue supporting your joints, you can move freely and without unbearable pain.
In addition to increasing oxygen in a damaged or degenerative joint, ozone injections also act as a disinfectant. This is helpful when the underlying cause of your joint pain is the result of an infection that leads to arthritic conditions.

Prolozone therapy for back pain
Prolozone therapy for back pain is an advanced form of medicine that has become increasingly popular in recent years. This type of therapy involves the injection of ozone, a gas with powerful anti-inflammatory and healing properties, into painful areas.
The goal of this treatment is to stimulate the body’s natural healing process and to reduce pain, inflammation, and scar tissue formation.
When injected into a joint or area of injury, ozone increases circulation, oxygenation, and nutrient delivery. These effects help to decrease inflammation while also providing essential building blocks needed for successful tissue repair.
In addition to its direct medical benefits, patients may find relief from prolozone therapy for back pain by reducing the need for traditional treatments such as physical therapy or medications that have potential side effects. Furthermore, it can be performed quickly in a physician’s office with minimal downtime afterward; some patients report feeling improved after just a few treatment sessions.
Prolozone therapy for knee pain
Prolozone therapy is a revolutionary treatment for knee pain that offers long-term relief without the need for invasive surgery. This cutting-edge technique involves injecting targeted areas of the joint with a combination of vitamins, minerals, nutrients, and ozone gas to stimulate healing and tissue repair.
Unlike traditional surgical procedures, prolozone therapy knee is a minimally invasive procedure that works to heal the knee from within. It has been proven effective in treating a variety of chronic knee conditions, including arthritis, tendonitis, bursitis, and ligament injuries.
The benefits of prolozone therapy knee extend beyond just relieving pain. Research has found that this treatment can help improve mobility by reducing inflammation and restoring joint health. Studies have also shown that it can increase range of motion in the knee and promote better balance for improved coordination.
One of the greatest advantages of prolozone therapy knee is its non-invasive nature and quick recovery time compared to other treatments. Patients typically experience minimal discomfort during injections as well as minimal downtime after treatment; many patients are able to resume their normal activities within 24 hours or less! No follow-up surgery or physical therapy is required following prolozone therapy knee, making it an ideal solution for those who want lasting results without undergoing major surgery or rehabilitation.
Thanks to advances in modern medicine, prolozone therapy has become an increasingly popular option for treating chronic knee pain due to its effectiveness and convenience.
